If you’re looking for the perfect location to host your wedding in Medellin, I might have discovered just the place!
This weekend I photographed my first wedding in the stunning Museo el Castillo in Medellin. The castle was constructed around 1930 in a medieval-gothic style by architect Nel Rodríguez.
Today the castle is open to the public for all types of events like picnics, art exhibitions, birthday parties, and yes weddings too.
The castle is very photogenic and features stunning backdrops of the city, impressive architecture, plush green gardens, 5 fountains, and several charming court yards – a wedding photographer’s dream.
The wedding was organized and decorated by my friend Catalina Alvarez from Novia Mia Eventos who is quickly making a name for herself as one of the best wedding planners in Medellin.
It’s always helps to have her decorations as the set for my photos because they feature brightly coloured flowers, moody lighting and tasteful details. She managed to create a fairytale setting this time at the castle.
I look forward to photographing many more weddings at the Museo el Castillo. I will be posting more photos of this wedding once I’m finished editing.
